Forming business groups is a way for women and men in different economic communities to enhance their income generating activities and thereby improve the quality of life of their families and communities. Business groups can also address inequities and power imbalances between men and women of various income classes by helping to strengthen the members’ self-confidence, status and voice. While group formation initiatives abound, challenges remain: • Men and women who are interested to start a business group do not always know how to set up, organize and manage their group effectively. Enabling group members to acquire then necessary skills and knowledge as well as access to adequate support structures is key to building viable business groups. • When the group formation process overlooks existing social and economic relations in a community, it may only benefit those who are already in a privileged position. The development impact of group formation can be strengthened by ensuring that it does not perpetuate existing power structures and unequal patterns of wealth distribution. • Sometimes decision-making, responsibilities, rights and resources may not be equally distributed within business groups. Women members often do not benefit to the same extent as men or female leaders. If the process of group formation is inclusive and gives equal opportunities and treatment to all members, it can become an effective means of empowering women by enhancing their self-confidence, social status and economic well-being.

What is a Mastermind Group?
There is synergy of energy, commitment, and excitement that participants bring to a Mastermind Group. The beauty of Mastermind Groups is that participants raise the bar by challenging each other to create and implement goals, brainstorm ideas, and support each other with total honesty, respect and compassion. Mastermind participants act as catalysts for growth, devil’s advocates and supportive colleagues.

The concept of the Mastermind Group was formally introduced by Napoleon Hill in the early 1900””””””””s. In his timeless classic, “Think And Grow Rich” he wrote about the Mastermind principle as:

“The coordination of knowledge and effort of two or more people, who work toward a definite purpose, in the spirit of harmony.”

He continues…

“No two minds ever come together without thereby creating a third, invisible intangible force, which may be likened to a third mind.”

In a Mastermind Group, the agenda belongs to the group, and each person’s participation is key. Your peers give you feedback, help you brainstorm new possibilities, and set up accountability structures that keep you focused and on track. You will create a community of supportive colleagues who will brainstorm together to move the group to new heights.

You””””””””ll gain tremendous insights, which can improve your business and person

eGroupConnect is a new, yet another way to conduct business within the multi level marketing systems available currently. We will look at business groups within certain selected companies, view their structures and explore possibilities on expanding reach to new business groups and customers.

Setting the Group
Step 1
Develop a group leader, also referred to as a moderator. The moderator deploys an outline of topics and questions to cover. Include a time stamp for each section to ensure adequate coverage of the topics; try to hold the entire session within two hours maximum, though most group discussions last from one to 1 1/2 hours.
Step 2
Hold the group over a long lunch or early evening to ensure participation.
Step 3
Search out and invite nine to 12 participants to ensure six to eight will actually attend. Look for participants with some commonality: similar in age or life stage, work in related industries or comparable education level. Also look for articulate people, who feel comfortable expressing their opinions. It helps if participants don””””””””t know each other very well.
Step 4
Conduct the discussion in a space with adequate ventilation and lighting, providing participants with comfortable seating and light refreshments, particularly if held over lunch.
Step 5
Record the discussion with at least audio if not video recording, depending on whether visual aids are used in the discussion or if it””””””””s particularly important to capture non-verbal cues from participants during the discussion.
